Safety Tips for Black Friday Shopping

Everyone wants to get out  to the shops on Black Friday to get a head start on their Christmas shopping and get those ridiculous sales but shopping on Black Friday can be quite dangerous.
Sadly there has been many tragedies that occurred during the biggest shopping day of the year. People have been trampled to death, assaulted and even shot just because they were trying to save a couple bucks. Here are some tips on how to stay safe during the crazy day.
               1)      Plan Ahead
Have an idea of what you want to buy before entering the store. Also make sure you know where that item is so you are not wandering around for hours. Get in and get out as fast as you can to avoid trouble.
    2) Avoid Dangerous Situations
If you see a situation getting heated, leave immediately. The deal is not worth the danger. Confrontations between customers have a high chance of becoming physical and you don’t want to get caught in the middle of that. The money you save on that new Xbox for your son will go right towards your medical bill if you get injured in a scrum.
    3) Hide Your Gifts in the Car
If you are going to multiple stores that day, make sure you don’t leave the gifts visible in your car; someone may break in and steal them. Put the gifts in the trunk or bring a blanket to cover them up,
   4) Be Alert Everywhere
Whether you are in the store or in the parking lot, watch out for cars and pedestrians. People will be running all over the place so take the time to look both ways before crossing the street, and look behind you before backing out of a parking spot. Keep your head on a swivel in the store and keep all personal belongings close to you. Do not leave anything unattended.
   5) Remember Your Manners
If someone gets to an item before you, let them have it. Don’t be the one to start a fight. If you get to an item before someone and they start an argument, think about how important that item really is. Is it worth the danger? If yes, then try to leave the situation ASAP. Also, don’t push in a crowded area or cut lines. That’s just rude.
  6)        For Online Shoppers: Avoid Sketchy Websites and Deals
Don’t give your credit card information to any website that you don’t trust. Also if you see deals such as “iPhone X 85% off” it’s more than likely a scam. Some deals really are too good to be true.
  7)        Have Fun
Shopping is supposed to be a fun experience! So if it gets too stressful and you’re not having fun anymore then go home and shop another day. Again, the deals aren’t worth the agony.
