Why I Love Harrington Park



      Harrington Park is a small town located in eastern Bergen County, New Jersey. It borders bigger towns such as Old Tappan, Norwood, Closter, Rivervale and Emerson. There are so many reason why Harrington Park is such a great spot to live and own a business.



  1. Small Size
Related image  Harrington Park is not even two square miles large which means it is a very quiet neighborhood. There isn’t a lot of heavy traffic because there are no big shopping centers or attractions around the area. This makes it a great and easy place to visit if you have family in the area, want to go to a nearby park or go for a walk or jog.

  1. Friendly People
 Because it is so small, it seems like everyone knows each other here; the people are all very friendly to each other. When I began working here in 2014, the neighbors welcomed me with open arms.

  1. Close to NYC and Shopping
  It’s good that there are no major attractions here because you would have a lot of traffic. But if you did want to go shopping (especially being around the holiday season) there are many options. You have The Shops at Riverdale, The Outlets at Bergen Town Center, Fashion Center Paramus, Westfield Garden State Plaza and the Palisades Mall all within 10-20 minutes. Harrington Park is also only 20 miles away from Manhattan.

  1. School District
  There are two schools in Harrington Park; the Harrington Park Elementary School and Northern Valley Regional High School. According to Niche.com, the elementary school ranks #42 of 153 best elementary schools in Bergen County and #157 of 1,404 best in all of New Jersey! Northern Valley Regional ranks #64 of 402 best public high schools in New Jersey! I love the students who get off the bus by my office. They are all super nice and welcoming. One kid even tried to work for me one day. But that's a story for another time.


  1. Safe Neighborhood
  Harrington Park is one of the safest towns in not only New Jersey but the entire country! According to areavibes.com, our crime rate is 92% lower than the New Jersey average and 95% lower than the national average. With the schooling and the crime rate, it is such a great place to raise a family!


         I am so happy I decided to start my business in Harrington Park! I love everything about it and especially how friendly the residents are and how close-knit the community is as a whole!

In recent years, an average of 2,700 teenagers were killed as a result of drunk driving.
